Peculi8 first formed in 2005 to provide vocal support and backing for a Children In Need concert in Luton, organised by Peculiar Productions. After rehearsing for the concert the group decided to carry on meeting socially as we are just a bunch of friends who love and enjoy singing together.
We are 'Peculi8', as we tend to sing 8-part harmony music even though there are sometimes 9 or even 12 of us, plus we all have our own little peculiarities!
Repertoire includes a capella versions of well known opera overtures, Cole Porter and Gershwin standards, traditional sacred music to eight-part versions of popular classics such as Britney Spears’ – Hit Me Baby One More Time and Billy Joel’s – For The Longest Time.
We have recently recorded our debut album which is now on sale.
